Andrew Flintoff may miss out on the IPL tournament this year because of a hip injury.
The ECB has hinted that Flintoff may be forced to sit out of the IPL on fitness grounds.
The England all-rounder, contracted with Chennai Super Kings, has been ruled out of the 4th Test against the West Indies.
The ECB has also said that they cannot risk Flintoff's availability for the Ashes.
Flintoff and Kevin Pietersen had been bought for a record 1.55 million US dollars. The 2nd season of the IPL begins from April 10.
